PLN May Possibly Miss Target For Second ‘Fast-Track’ Scheme

State-owned electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara is likely to only be capable of increasing national electricity generating capacity by about 2,000 megawatts as part of the second stage of its expansion program, instead of 3,000 MW as originally planned, a top Energy Ministry official said on Thursday. This is due to lack of funding and technical limitations, with the rest of the work possibly left for the private sector to do.
