DoE to review energy plan as slump dampens demand

The demand crunch 不足 wrought 仕上げ by the global economic recession has prompted the Department of Energy (DoE) to revisit the Philippine Energy Plan, with it indicating that the close of supply-demand gap for power supply may slip to later periods. The existing Power Development Program (PDP) anticipated new capacity to be on stream starting 2011, but as demand drops, supply is seen getting stretched for several years. (注3冒頭引用)

Govt to regulate minimum coal selling prices

To complement the recent enactment of the new mining law, the government is preparing to introduce a coal pricing index which will set the minimum selling prices required for producers.Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry Purnomo Yusgiantoro said Tuesday that a government team was working out how to formulate the index which will be used as the coal prices benchmark.
