Pak to go ahead with IPI project even without India Zardari

Pakistan has expressed its readiness to go ahead with the $7.5 billion gas pipeline with Iran even if India, which has security and other concerns, opts out of the trilateral project. Meralco sees flat growth in 2009 electricity sales

Interim extension of supply contract sought to avert Palawan power shortage

With the imprimatur of the Department of Energy (DoE), an interim extension of the lease agreement between state-run National Power Corporation (NPC) and private power provider Delta P was sought to avoid power interruptions in the economically-burgeoning island of Palawan.

Galoc oil production reaches 1-M barrels

Against the backdrop of skidding global oil prices, the country’s Galoc oil field hit its 1.0 million barrels level of production yesterday, with next shipments already scheduled for buyers overseas. Two hydro plants open in M'kiri

TWO micro hydropower plants began supplying electricity to underserved rural areas in Mondulkiri province late last month, an official at the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy told the Post last week. The two plants, funded by a US$10 million grant from Japan, operate around the clock and can produce 180 kilowatts of electricity per hour, said Victor Jona, deputy director general .(冒頭原文引用)
