●Manolo Lopez stays as Meralco chair

Utility giant Manila Electric Company (Meralco) has debunked claims that Manuel M. Lopez will relinquish his post as chief executive officer (CEO) after the company’s annual stockholders’ meeting on May 26. Lopez Group patriarch Oscar M. Lopez earlier told media that his brother will retain his chairmanship in the company’s board but will be stepping down as CEO.
