The top United Nations climate official said Monday China is poised to unveil on Tuesday new policies to fight climate change that could help international negotiations ahead of a critical meeting in December. Yvo de Boer, executive secretary of the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change, said he has been told that Chinese officials will present a series of new policies on transportation, industrial efficiency, renewable energy and other areas.
