●PNOC unit seeks partners for hydro projects

STATE-run PNOC-Renewables Corp. IS seeking local and foreign investors for 11 hydro power projects with a combined capacity of 300 megawatts (MW), as these may require substantial investments, according to a company official. PNOC-RC president Pedro Maniego Jr. said the 11 projects on the pipeline were located mostly in Luzon and Visayas, particularly in Benguet, Palawan and Negros Oriental. These are mini hydro power projects, with capacities ranging from 20 to 40 MW.
